Hey Ladies! Welcome To The Club! I’m Teresa Cole, A Real-Life Sit-At-Home Mama
I’m Teresa Cole, founder, and CEO of Sit-At-Home Profits. And yes, I am a real-sit-at-home profits mama. I decided a few years ago that I was tired of choosing between work and family. I wanted to be a great mom, but after a divorce, I needed resources too. I was tired of leaving my young sons at home while I worked midnights, weekends, and holidays. Despite all of my sacrifices, I was still unable to make ends meet. I wanted a change.
THE DAY IT ALL TURNED AROUND
One day, I was watching house hunters, and a guy was purchasing a house for 1.2 million dollars. I couldn’t help but think, “What does he do?” How can he make such a large purchase with a smile on his face? During the show, I discovered that he did something called internet marketing, and he did it from the comfort of his own home. Here I was working doubles, nights, and weekends, and this guy was earning 7 figures from the comfort of his own home.
I began researching and ran across a mentor who taught me all about Internet marketing and how to use it to make money online. After learning more about it, I left corporate America and never looked back. I’ve been leveraging the internet for profits and working as an online business strategist to help others do the same thing for over 10 years. In that time frame, here’s what I discovered:
I quit my job way too soon. Thankfully, I’ve been able to remain at home for the last 10 years except for an odd job here or there, but in the beginning, it wasn’t easy. I was so caught up with my dreams, my ideas, and my passion that I quit my job, dropped out of school, and caused a lot of instability for my family that could’ve been avoided if I had
#1 Had clarity
#2 Had a definite plan of action
#3 Had tested my efforts to ensure that my plan was profitable
I was what my mentor called “ignorance on fire,” I was literally spinning my wheels and going nowhere and it cost me a lot of sleepless nights and unnecessary worrying. It wasn’t until I paid for some coaching and discovered how to get clear on my goals, how to map out my action plan, and how to use analytics to ensure that my strategies would produce profits that things turned around for me. I’ve been getting internet profits ever since.
What I want you to know is that this doesn’t have to be your story. You can have a stable work-from-home income while building a 6- or 7-figure profitable business on the web. You don’t have to struggle and cause instability in your family’s finances while you’re building your dream business. I always recommend getting a solid income to handle your current bills and fund your dreams. I want you to be able to invest in yourself and have a roof over your head, okay, sis?
I’ve also learned, to have a lot of patience. In addition to losing a couple of sites due to hosting or whatever, I’ve also come to grips with the fact that Rome wasn’t built in a day either. I’ve discovered that your dreams and your really big goals should be a part of your life, not something that you give up on with every wind that blows. So, through failure, setbacks, and taking out time to birth and rear children, I just kept pecking away at my goals in the few moments I had each day. Eventually, I was able to launch a few ideas, including this one. So no matter what happens, just stick with it.
Be present in the now. I know you got big goals, baby girl, but don’t miss the even bigger moments in your life now. I missed a lot building the earlier versions of my business, and those are years that I can never get back. Yeah, I was there but not really present, and I’ve learned from that. I gained a lot of weight and just didn’t take the best care of myself during those earlier years because I just wanted to get to the finish line. I spent most of my time working on my dream and literally forsook myself and everything else in the process. I can honestly tell you that there is no finished line.
Your life is your business, and your business is your life, so live now! Sis, don’t be so absorbed in your ideas that you lose track of the reality of your family. For most of you, it’s not going to happen overnight, so keep yourself up, work out, and take care of your health, your teeth, your hair, your home, your husband, and your kids. Be that woman, you feel me? Understand that manifesting dreams takes time. You cannot forsake your duties as a mother and a wife to build it. My best advice and what I’ve learned is to know your home, know your schedule and responsibilities, and then set aside a specific time to work on your biz. It might be an hour before everyone wakes up or an hour after they go to bed, but you have to have patience and be clear on your objectives for the day to ensure that your efforts drive your business ideas forward. Inside, I’ll be helping you with implementing the daily action steps that can get your business up and moving faster, okay, sis? Do not trade your family for profits, you can have both if you’re patient and if you join my tribe, because I have a wealth of information that will help you find the balance. We’ve got lots to talk about, so join now, and I’ll catch you inside!
To Your Success . . .
